Viewing in 3D
Switch to a 3D view. The beam will continue to reshape if moved in 3D.
When length is locked to Height, dragging the beam will keep the face and floor planes constant
If you have Spotlight Focus Points defined, use the pull-down menu at the top of Object Info to easily refocus your beams in 3D.
Use the object's control points to change the beam's hang point, source point, focus point, shutter cuts, or bottle rotation. The spherical control points set the shutter's angle.
When changing the light or focus locations, the beam's re-shape will not be limited by its locks.
The Beam’s translucent surface comes from its texture. You can either edit the Light Beam texture in the folder or override it using the Floor Oval and Face Oval class controls.
